Epsilon Sigma Alpha’s philanthropy is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Since 1972, ESA has helped raise over $245 million for the kids at St. Jude. We are St. Jude’s largest third party donor. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was founded in 1962 by Danny Thomas. Over 45 years ago, Danny Thomas reached out to ESA International to help support his dream that “No child should die in the dawn of life.”
“The mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.”
Every year, we push to reach our $10,000 goal through different philanthropic events within our brotherhood and with the Gainesville community. We host our annual No More Cancer Rally in the Fall semester and our ESA Hearts St. Jude 5K in the Spring. Together we can help save the kids at St. Jude through the hard work of our brotherhood and the generosity and support of local Gainesville businesses.
